We had beautiful weather on Saturday, so Dad decided we needed to get in some early "spring training." We discovered I, Emmett am a lefty (at least when it comes to batting) and confirmed yet again that Caroline is a princess. I love baseball and was sad when it was time to go in and I had not yet mastered hitting the ball like a Ranger. Caroline on the other hand thought she was already a Ranger and didn't need lessons even though her batting technique consists of simply swinging the bat back and forth until she finally connects with the ball and/or she begins pretending the bat is a horse to ride around the yard. I am looking forward to more opportunities to fine tune my skills.
P.S. Please take special note of the shoes my sister chose to wear for the occasion!

My little brother is coming in a few weeks, and we don't know what to call him. So post your suggestion in the comments - if we use your idea you get a Starbucks card and consideration for the Zeller Family Cup.
Caroline and Emmett LOVE to read! The fun doesn't stop when the book is over, but continues throughout the day as they pretend to be the various characters. Their current favorite books include...
1.) Charlotte's Web. Emmett alternates between being Wilbur, Templeton, or Avery, while Caroline sticks with Fern. Mommy is often asked to be Mrs. Zuckerman. Emmett also likes to imitate the geese. Today "Fern" gave "Wilbur" multiple "buttermilk" baths which she obtained from "Mrs. Zuckerman."
2.) Stuart Little. This is Emmett's new favorite. He spends a lot of time pretending to be George while carrying a stuffed animal around in his pocket whom he calls his brother "Stuart Wittle." After reading the easy reader version a few times, we switched to the actual book this afternoon and have already read half of it!
3.) Curious George Goes to the Hospital. Caroline likes to be Nurse Carol, who pushes George/Emmett around the house in the "go cart"/big yellow dump truck.

Emmett and Caroline love helping their cousin Ellie. When she was over the other day they introduced her to horseback riding, swinging, and sliding. She enjoys the Little Zellers, but seems to always be on the lookout for what they might do to her next.
