Having visited the barber, Emmett felt he had truly left babyhood behind and entered boyhood. He and Daddy promptly came home and "worked" on the car together. There is nothing that fosters male bonding more than a trip to the barber shop and a little work in the garage!
Caroline revealed recently that she knows how to write her brother's name all by herself! She also now signs her name with a "C" and an "A" and could probably write "Carrie" if she felt like it. Oh, the joys of turning 4!

I helped Caroline celebrate her 4th birthday today. It was really, really fun! She knows how to pick a good birthday menu! We had Winnie the Pooh waffles with blueberries and whipped cream for breakfast, Double Dave's pizza for lunch, and spaghetti and cupcakes for dinner. She got to open her presents after breakfast and I think she loved the things I picked out, especially the Baby Princess Belle doll! This was just the beginning of birthday festivities because we are waiting for Uncle Scott and Aunt Abby and Ellie to get home from their vacations so we can have a REALLY BIG family party!
