"Fluffy died. He is no longer with us." This is how Caroline informed me of the demise of our dear bunny, Fluffy (a.k.a. "Puff" or "The Fluff"). So, this post is in honor of our faithful rabbit Fluffy. We enjoyed our time with her very much and will miss feeding her carrots and having her "kiss" our fingers. She was always patient with us and seemed to actually like our noisy, little people ways. She even put up with Dad taking her for walks on a leash and me chasing her. Dad used her passing to teach us about the brevity of life, God's control over it, and our need to live for the eternal instead of temporal. Before burrying her in a quiet corner of our backyard, Dad read a portion of 1 Corinthians 15, I waved and said good-bye, and Caroline wondered aloud why we were covering Fluffy with dirt. Now that Fluffy is gone, I wonder what kind of pet I might convince my father (or grandfather) to purchase... rumor has it that a dog may be in order.
